Hours: Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 40hrs per week 2:00PM - -10:30AM
Pay: $20.00 - $22.63/hr. plus a full benefits package.

General Summary
The Safety Sanitation Specialist is responsible for maintaining Harbor’s office cleanliness, sanitation standards, and 5S organization throughout the Lacey Distribution Center (LDC) administrative and office areas. This role ensures that office environments—including workstations, breakrooms, meeting rooms, restrooms, and shared spaces—are consistently clean, organized, and aligned with Harbor’s Food Safety and facility housekeeping expectations.
The Safety Sanitation Specialist must be motivated to uphold a high standard of office presentation and hygiene, ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and auditors. This position plays a key role in supporting compliance by reducing sanitation-related risks in non-warehouse areas and helping prevent conditions that could lead to regulatory findings.
By maintaining strong office housekeeping practices and 5S organization, this role also helps improve employee efficiency, workplace morale, and overall facility appearance while reducing avoidable sanitation issues and corrective actions.
Essential Job Functions:
· Coordinate office sanitation activities with Safety & Quality Control Coordinator, Maintenance, and Warehouse Supervisors as needed.
· Perform and maintain routine cleaning of office areas including desks, workstations, conference rooms, breakrooms, restrooms, hallways, and shared administrative spaces.
· Adhere to established cleaning procedures and schedules designed to maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe facility environment, with emphasis on office and administrative areas.
· Support and maintain 5S standards in office environments, including organization, labeling, visual management, and removal of unnecessary items.
· Track, complete, and maintain all sanitation and cleaning records related to office areas (including electronic filing and document scanning).
· Identify and report office-related sanitation or maintenance issues (e.g., spills, restocking needs, pest concerns, or facility damage) to appropriate departments.
· Ensure office supplies related to sanitation (soap, paper towels, liners, etc.) are stocked and replenished as needed.
· Support periodic deep cleaning projects for office spaces and assist with audit readiness for internal and external inspections.
