Warehouse Lead

Pay: $25.00 - $28.29/hr. Plus full Benefit Package.

Hours/Days: Sunday - Thursday, 2:00PM - 4:00PM start time

The main purpose of the Warehouse Lead is to assist the Operations Manager in closing the routes and ensuring security is maintained. The Lead will also assist other employees using the picking system to pick orders accurately and in a timely manner while building floor stacks in correct sequence. The Lead will assist other employees to properly place pick tags on the product to facilitate deliveries. As business needs demand, the Warehouse Lead will audit pallets and totes for accuracy.

Essential Job Functions

The Order Selector Lead must have the ability to effectively demonstrate:

• Use the Turning Point system to accurately pick orders
• Interpret the provided load maps
• Use established practices to stack product on floor in sequence
• Orient pick tags on product to facilitate deliveries
• Use safe lifting methods on items weighing up to 60lbs
• Distribute Orders
• Maintain Picking Numbers
• Run Invoices and accurately input new data into the computer
• Close Routes
• Provide warehouse security being watchful of all entry points and making sure that people in the warehouse are authorized to be there. Making sure machines are in safe working conditions and using lock out-tag out system when repair is needed, making sure all perimeter is secured before leaving the premises, setting alarms upon exit
• Properly use (and train others in the use) of hip printer and scanning gun
• Back up Night Manager when the Night Manager is not on the premises
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Currently practices the Harbor Values daily; Genuine, Motivated, Resourceful and Friendly.
• Exemplary Attendance
• Expert knowledge of the Case Department, Freezer Department and Deli Department
• Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
• Proficient knowledge of picking in the pick modules, packaging product into totes.
• No disciplinary action within the last 180 days
• Basic computer knowledge
• Route maintenance
• Manipulate order of importance

Education and Experience

• Proven track record of accuracy while picking
• Expert user of Turning Point Picking system
• Basic use of Microsoft Windows Operating System
• Basic use of Microsoft Office Outlook; Basic use of Microsoft Excel is a plus
• 3 years warehouse experience required
